Senate District 5

District 5 is a prominent New Orleans-based district in the Louisiana Senate. It begins at Canal Street and covers the Central Business District, the Warehouse District. the Garden District, much of Uptown (except Audubon), Central City, Broadmoor and parts of Mid City and Carrollton.[1]
It is currently held by Karen Carter Peterson, a Democrat.
