Neil C. Abramson
In the 2011 gubernatorial elections, Abramson was challenged by two opponents, Republican businessman John "Fenn" French and Democrat Evan Wolf. A third opponent, Democratic energy consultant Myron Katz, also filed to challenge Abramson, but withdrew just a few days later.
Abramson faced four other candidates in the 2007 election, Democrat James P. Johnson and Republicans Rob Couhig, Murray Nelson and Bryan Trascher. Abramson received 43 percent of the vote in the primary, well ahead of Johnson's 20 percent and Couhig and Nelson's 17 percent each. Abramson then easily won the runoff with 74 percent.
