David Vitter

David Vitter, a Republican, has represented Louisiana in the U.S. Senate since 2004.
In the 2010 general election, Vitter will face two Republican challengers in the winner of the August 28 primary. The winner of that contest will face opponents from the Democratic, Libertarian and Reform parties, and as many as eight independent candidates, including State Rep. Ernest D. Wooten.
